A cold front will move across the region tonight bringing light snow to much of the state. Meteorologist Megan Salois said 1-2″ of snow will fall tonight into tomorrow morning. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for much of Central Iowa from 6 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday.
Cold temperatures and strong winds will accompany the snow. High temperatures will remain in the single digits on Sunday. Strong winds will create blowing snow that could make travel difficult in some areas. We’ll also see wind chill values well-below zero.
Another round of snow is possible Monday night. Temperatures for the work week will remain cold. Find full forecast details here.
