The Channel 13 Weather team is watching isolated storms as they pass through the state Memorial Day evening.
Quarter-sized hail has been reported with gusty winds up to 50 mph.
A trained spotter reported quarter-sized hail mixed in with smaller hail in Minburn (Dallas County) Monday afternoon. Channel 13 viewer Jasmine Drake sent photos of large hail that fell at Ledges State Park in Boone.
Storms will continue Monday night into Tuesday. A few light showers will linger early Wednesday morning, mainly on the eastern side of the state and clouds will clear out through the day.
A ridge will begin to build in the western U.S. by the end of the week, which means the sunshine will return and temperatures will be mild.
