AMES, Iowa – After being released from the Mayo Clinic hospital on Wednesday, Fred Hoiberg received more great news on Sunday.

Nick Noskowiak, a 6-foot-2 point guard out of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, will join the Iowa State Cyclones basketball program in the fall.

Noskowiak is a top 100 high school recruit, according to 247sports.

He originally committed to Marquette, but after the Golden Eagles head coach Buzz Williams left for Virginia Tech, he reopened his recruiting.

He eventually committed to Marquette a second time and new coach Steve Wojciechowski, before de-committing again this past year.

Noskowiak will likely be the heir apparent to Monte Morris at point guard for the Cyclones.

He also received scholarship offers from Illinois, USC, Northern Iowa, Xavier, and several other schools.

Iowa State still has two scholarships available for next season.
