TERRE HAUTE, Indiana — Northern Iowa has beaten two top-five teams this season, stunning then-ranked No. 1 North Carolina and No. 5 Iowa State.
However, the Panthers also have a handful of head-scratching losses.
Another one of those disappointing efforts took place on Wednesday night as Northern Iowa lost to Indiana State 74-60 on the road.
Brenton Scott put in six three-pointers and scored 30 points, both career highs, to lead the Sycamores to victory.
Northern Iowa falls to 10-8 overall and 2-3 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
