The Hawkeyes could not afford to lose Saturday, especially to Nebraska.

The NCAA bubble talk is real and that bubble is getting bigger with every Iowa win. But a loss to the Huskers and you might as well book your tickets to the nit.

The game was pushed back until Saturday because of the snowstorm so it wasn’t shown on t.v.

1st half, Iowa looks like a tourney team with Mike Gesell, the Nebraska native, scoring 2 of his 6 points.  Iowa up 2.

Hawks were up by as many as 19.

Roy Dev adds as Iowa goes up 41-25 at the break with the game looking settled.

Wrong. The Huskers storm back clawing back a 58-57 lead.

With just over a minute to play, Aaron White, scores straight on from deep to tie at 60.

With 10 seconds left, Dylan Talley steps up.  There’s your dagger to burst the bubble.  The deep 3 to beat the shot clock.

Gesell with a chance to tie, can’t get it and Iowa with a monumental collapse on the road.

Huskers win 64-60.  Barring a miracle run in the Big 10 tournament, the Hawks’ NCAA tournament chances are done.
