It’s a familiar scene at the Principal Charity Classic, this week. Big crowds, great weather, and Jay Haas is on top of the leaderboard. Haas won the event in 2007, and in 2008. He seems to be at or near the top of the leaderboard each and every year.(Dick Mast is tied for 6th at -5).
R.A. Dickey just became my favorite big leaguer. The Mets pitcher walks up to the plate to The Games of Thrones theme music. I could probably run an iron man race if I just put that piece of music on a loop. The problem is, my ipod wouldn’t last 17 hours.
I went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch today. I thought I was going to be able to keep it pretty healthy since I decided I would order off the Skinnylicious menu, and avoid the cheesecake. The only problem is, I ate at least 3 loaves of bread.
My Dad came up to bring my dog back home to Muscatine. Sad day for me. Great day for my wife. When I met her, 10 years ago, she hated dogs. Now, she just dislikes them. I’m making progress. Yesterday, she even suggested that the three of us go to Snookies to get ice cream so Wrigley could get a doggy cone.
Is it just me, or has this been the windiest spring in a long, long time?
Twitter just got a whole lot more intelligent. The NPR Sports Cache now has an account. @NPRnews has over one-million followers. @NPRsportscache has 70. Paul Robin Pixner and Elliot Feinberg deserve more.
