Lolo Jones begins her quest for the 2012 Olympics, Friday night. If she fails to finish the race, her journey will end. If she advances, she will race again on Saturday afternoon in the semifinals. The finals are Saturday night on NBC.

For the first time in Channel 13 history, MC Hammer appeared in a sportscast, last night.

LeBron James has his championship. He’s the best player in the NBA, and one of the best I’ve ever seen, but that doesn’t mean I have to like him. Magic Johnson said that now that James has his championship, everyone should love him. Why?! Everyone doesn’t love Kobe. Everyone didn’t love MJ. I’d argue that LeBron winning a championship makes me hate him more. It’s easier to hate a winner than a loser.

James is now 12.5% of the way to making his promise of “not 5, not 6, not 7” NBA titles come true. Baring another strike, or the end of the world, LeBron can win his 8th title in the summer of 2019. LeBron and I will both be 34. We both already look like we’re 34.

Peace Tree Blonde Fatale won the Murph n Andy Beer Bracket, Friday. It’s hard to go wrong with a Blonde Fatale. It’s more expensive than a regular beer, but it’s well worth the price. I have a sixer of it that’s calling my name in Andy’s fridge. Unfortunately, he doesn’t get back from vacation until next week.

All I want to do is head out to a patio and enjoy the weather. Not a good night to be stuck in the office.

A New Jersey woman is trying to sue a Little Leaguer. Not kidding.

Keith said he went to a 24-hour Steak/Seafood restaurant, Thursday night. That’s a big no-no. A good rule of thumb for choosing a steak place is to avoid the place if it’s open more hours a day than you’re awake. The best places are always closed until late afternoon, and closed at least one day during the week.
