AMES, Iowa — The Iowa State Cyclones continued their preseason practice schedule in Ames on Monday as they enjoy a fresh start under new head coach Matt Campbell.

With just five wins in the last two seasons, Campbell is trying to change the culture within the program.

The goal is something he admits is not an easy task.

“The only challenge for me is to continue to develop our program and the culture,” Campbell told reporters Monday. “Any time your program hasn’t had success, we have to evaluate the standards of what it looks like to come in day in, day out whether it’s the weight room or practice.”

The Cyclones open the season at home against Northern Iowa on Sept. 3.
