ALTOONA - 9 year old Bryce Bolio can flat out shoot.  Bolio, a 3rd grader in Pleasant Hill, recently won the national free throw shooting competition for 8-9 year olds when he made 34 out of 35.

"I just clear my mind and shoot 'em.  I don't worry about anyone else's score but mine," says Bryce.

Although he's only in 3rd grade Bryce plays on a 5th grade traveling team, Ambition.

Bryce is in the gym 7 days a week working on his shooting anywhere from 3-5 hours a night.  His favorite NBA player is Steph Curry.

When asked if he thought he would be as good of a shooter as Curry, Bolio said, "No, I'm going to be a better shooter than Steph Curry.  I want to be the best shooter in NBA history."

What makes Bryce's story even cooler, he didn't start walking until 19 months old.  After he took his first steps, he had to wear braces on his legs for more than a year.

"It is a bit of a shock going from not being able to walk to now he's kind of a star athlete," says his father Jack.
