Iowa wrestlers spent day 3 in Wells Fargo Arena fighting for a spot in finals.

Class 1A is lacking the local firepower we see in 2A and 3A, just 4 central Iowan’s will be wrestling for state titles.

Some highlights from the 1A semi-finals:

Blake Marolf of Eddyville-Blakesburg at 132 pounds wins in overtime.

For the 138 West Marshall's Kyle Blocker stays undefeated on a 6-3 decision. He will wrestle for a state title Saturday.

At 182 Audobon's Jessie Svoboda, a 3-1 winner, the senior is one step closer to his dream. “It’s a dream come true, my dad will be proud of me, wrestling in the finals because he was a state champ a long time ago. Hopefully I can fulfill the legacy.”

Some highlight from the 3A semi-finals:

At 113 Valley’s Clayton Eicher, ranked 2nd, beats Trevor Murano of Dallas Center-Grimes 5-2.

For the 126 Dowling Catholic's Jonathan Eide gets the 4-0 decision over Southeast Polk's Keegan Shaw.
Southeast Polk gets their first semifinal win at 160. The top ranked Tim Miklus a 10-2 major over Dowling Catholic's Isaiah Patton

More from the Rams, 170’s Dylan Blackford comes from behind and wins in extra time 7-5. The senior has a chance for redemption.

At 220 Bryce Fisher, ranked #1 knocks off Kaleb Staack 9-2.

The Rams have 3 wrestling for titles on Saturday.

The 3A team scores heading in to the finals show Southeast Polk with a 20 point lead over Bettendorf. The Bulldogs have 5 wrestlers in the finals.
