AUSTIN, Texas – Coming off a road win at Oklahoma State on Wednesday, the Cyclones made it two in a row Saturday afternoon with a win over Texas.  Iowa State came out on top 85-77.

Georges Niang led the ISU starting five with 17 points, but the Cyclones had five scorers in double digits.

From the bench, Matt Thomas also scored 17.  He went 4 for 6 from beyond the arc.

Bryce Dejean-Jones had 16 points off the bench, including an impressive breakaway dunk in the second half.

This is the first time since 2006 that the Cyclones have tallied two straight conference road wins, and just their second win ever in Austin.

Saturday’s win over the Longhorns brings Iowa State’s win total to 20 on the season.  This is the fourth season in a row that ISU has tallied 20 or more wins, which is a school record.

Iowa State is back home at Hilton Coliseum Wednesday night.  The Cyclones face another Top 25 opponent in #20 Baylor.  That game tips off at 8 p.m.
