JOHNSTON, Iowa — Field Day is a common end-of-the-year event for school kids. The Johnston Community School District has created a special, one-of-a-kind field day for special needs students. In the process, the event has gone on to even inspire traditional students, who help with the event, to pursue careers in special education.
