6 Egg Yolks

4 Tablespoons of White Sugar

2 ½ cups Heavy Whipping Cream

2 Medium Eggs

1 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1 Teaspoon (Traditional Mexican) Vanilla

1 Loaf Dutch Apple Bread cut into 1 to ½ inch thick slices (Dutch Apple Bread is sweet bread filled with chopped apples and almonds, frosted in a maple icing.  Can be made with pecans.)

1 Tablespoon of Butter

1 Can of Real Whipped Cream

Fresh Sliced Strawberries


Beat egg yolks and 4 tablespoons sugar in a mixing bowl until thick and creamy.  Set aside.

Pour heavy whipping cream into a saucepan and stir over low heat until luke-warm.  Slowly stir ½ of the cream into the egg yolk mixture, beat until combined.

Whisk 2 eggs with cinnamon and vanilla.  Stir into remaining cream and add to mixture.

Melt butter in skillet on medium heat and then add bread slices, turning until both sides are golden brown.

Top toasted brown with Real Whipped Cream and Fresh Strawberries.

No syrup necessary.
