WINTER DRIVING: DSM Police Respond To 120 Accidents

Central Iowans had their first winter driving test this past weekend and metro body shops are busy because of it.

From Sunday morning to Monday morning Des Moines police responded to more than 120-accidents. Just one of those involved injuries.

Over 5″ of snow fell in Des Moines in that period.

The roads are improving around the metro.  All major roads have been plowed and crews spent Monday focusing on residential streets.
