West Des Moines Authorities Conducting Death Investigation of 16-Year-Old

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- A death investigation of a teenager is underway in West Des Moines, according to authorities.

At approximately 8 p.m. on Oct. 24, West Des Moines Emergency Services were dispatched to 805 15th Street in response to a cardiac arrest.

Upon arrival, CPR was in progress and emergency responders assisted with life-saving measures until the victim, 16-year-old Natalie Finn, who resided at the home, was transported to a local hospital where she later died.

An autopsy was conducted by the Polk County Medical Examiner. The official cause and manner of death will be known once toxicology results are received from the Polk County Medical Examiner’s Office.

This is an ongoing investigation.
