An upside to the storms over the weekend is that it’s washing out drought concerns.

In Guthrie County, water is now roaring over Lennon Mill Dam into the Middle Raccoon River.

The river itself spiked with all the rain. Since Sunday it has gone up about of foot before leveling out. However, the river is still well below flood stage.

The Raccoon River at 63rd Street is also up but with sand bars still visible, there is plenty of room for more water.

The Raccoon also climbed about a foot since Sunday.

The Des Moines River at 2nd Avenue had been steadily falling until last night’s rains. It went up about 6-inches overnight.
