Des Moines Police are investigating an early morning robbery at a Walgreens store on the city’s south side.

Police received a 911 call around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday saying  a man was robbing the store at 3140 SE 14th Street with a knife.

The man took only money, and left on foot.  Police say they believe he eventually got into a car.

The suspect is described as a white male, with facial hair.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

This is the second Walgreens to be robbed this week.  The store at 4415 Douglas was robbed late Sunday night.

In that case, the suspect gave an employee and note, and left with pills.

Police say at this time they do not know if the two robberies are connected.
