DES MOINES, Iowa — While Bill Clinton and Tim Kaine called off their Des Moines appearances Wednesday out of respect for Sgt. Tony Beminio and Officer Justin Martin, Republican Mike Pence made a special appearance in Des Moines.
Just after 10 p.m. Wednesday Pence stopped by the memorial for Sgt. Tony Beminio at the Des Moines Police Department. He offered his condolences to the community and spoke of the important role police play.
Pence has a campaign event scheduled for Thursday in Prole, that’s in Warren County.
