DES MOINES, Iowa — After a bye week this weekend, the Iowa Hawkeyes will look to become bowl eligible with a win this weekend against Northwestern.
Hawkeye fans will be cheering in the stands in Iowa City and on the beaches of the South Pacific nation of Tonga.
Ryan Kloberdanz is a Valley High School and University of Iowa graduate now working with the Peace Corps in Tonga with his wife. They’ll return home next month after two years working overseas.
During their time there they taught their village the Iowa fight song and started a new chapter of the I-Club.
A friend helped them out by sending the entire village Hawkeye shirts.
