A statewide test of tornado sirens was held Wednesday and some Story County sirens failed to sound the alarm. Friday, Story County Emergency Management released which sirens malfunctioned.

Officials say Huxley, Roland, Slater, Kelley and Zearing all reported no activation from their outdoor warning sirens. Slater has since retested its system and got everything back up and running.

There will be another warning test Saturday at noon to re-check the sirens that didn’t sound.

Officials say the sirens in Huxley and Zearing also had troubles during last year’s test.
