Five People Injured After Head-On Crash in Polk County

POLK COUNTY, Iowa — Five people were sent to the hospital after two cars collided head-on in Polk County.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says the crash happened  in the 4800 block of NE 94th Street around 6:45 p.m. Saturday.

One vehicle was driven by a male in his 20s. The other vehicle contained five juveniles. The male in his 20s suffered serious injuries, while four juveniles had minor injuries. Those with injuries were taken to the hospital.

Their names have not been released.

The crash remains under investigation.
