Executive Director of Progress Iowa Matt Sinovic said on The Insiders that he thinks the very definition of a progressive is someone who looks for things like equality, supporting the middle and working class but focuses on making the overall goal progress.  Sinovic said that the true progressives are people who are constantly looking to move forward, onward and upward.

The featured guest at Progress Iowa’s holiday party this year is former Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer.  Schweitzer has been mentioned as one of the many potential candidates for the 2016 presidential bid.  Sinovic said he didn’t know if Schweitzer was thinking about a potential presidential run but if he was, stopping in Iowa could only help that position.
