A weekend fundraiser for a toddler battling Leukemia was a swimming success. Little Princess Parties held a pool party for a princess named Estella in Dallas Center Saturday.
The Little Mermaid made a splash swimming with attendees. The goal was to raise about $1,500 for the little girl to help with medical expenses. But, they raised more than $3,000.
Doctors diagnosed the two year old with Leukemia in May. She spent two months in the hospital and has two and a half years of treatments ahead of her.
