SUSPECT SOUGHT: Git-N-Go Store Robbed

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery at a Des Moines Git-N-Go late Wednesday night.

Witnesses told deputies the robbery happened just before midnight Wednesday when a man with a handgun demanded money at the Git-N-Go at 4224 NW 2nd Street. They say he left the store with beer and money.

A deputy arrived shortly after the robbery, but was unable to find the suspect. He is described as a thin, white male with brown hair, brown eyes, and a mustache and goatee. He is believed to be 25 to 30 years old and about five-foot-five. Authorities say they are working on getting a photo of the suspect from surveillance video.
