Suspect in Des Moines Credit Union Robbery Arrested

DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police say they’ve caught one of two robbery suspects who held up a credit union in May.

The Financial Plus Credit Union along 38th Street was robbed by two men on May 9th. Both men were carrying a gun.

Police arrested 19-year-old Jamel Carter Thursday. He is charged with first degree robbery.

Officers are still looking for the other suspect. They have not released any information about his identity.
