The summer of supermoons kicks of this weekend!

NASA says supermoons appear larger and brighter than traditional full moons. The scientific term for the phenomenon is “perigee moon.”

The first will be visible Friday night and Saturday night.

It will happen again August 10th and September 9th. Experts say the one in august will likely be the brightest.

Scientists say it can be hard to tell the difference between a supermoon and a regular full moon due to clouds and haze.
