NEVADA, Iowa — A Story City man is facing sexual abuse charges for allegedly having inappropriate contact with an 11-year-old.
Eighteen-year-old Austin Murray is charged with second degree sexual abuse and lascivious acts with a minor. The Story County Sheriff’s Office says the charges stem from alleged abuse that happened in early August.
Officials say Murray was acquainted with the victim. A family member of the victim contacted the sheriff’s office about the alleged abuse on August 15th.
Murray is being held in the Story County Jail on a bond of $100,000. More charges are expected to be filed in the case.
