People in Fremont and Union counties affected by the April 14th severe weather may be able to get some help from the state.
Gov. Terry Branstad announced Monday that individual assistance programs have been made available. The programs will help households with incomes at or below twice the federal poverty level, which is around $37,000 for a family of three.
Up to $5,000 per household will be available for home or car repairs, clothing, food, and for the cost of temporary housing.
Original receipts will need to be presented to be reimbursed. Find out how to apply here.
