Des Moines Police are hoping images from surveillance video will help them find a man they say robbed a convenience store overnight.

Officers were called to the Kum & Go at 2110 Guthrie just before midnight Monday on reports of a robbery.

The clerk told police a black male, wearing a black hoodie came in, displayed a gun and demanded money. He hit the clerk in the face with a gun. Two customers inside the store at the time of the robbery were made to lie down on the floor.

The clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash and the man left the scene in a white Pontiac Aztec.

A police dog was brought, but the suspect was not located.
