Police says 21-year-old Paris Smith was stabbed several times while trying to break up a fight in the 1600 block of Washington Avenue.

He died a week after the stabbing.

Four men are charged in connection with the stabbing – among them:  Hector Linares-Nunez.

He is charged with first degree murder and will go on trial Wednesday.

Court documents show the three others charged are scheduled to testify.
