A Boone County supervisor has pleaded guilty to theft.

Last week Chet Hollingshead agreed to a plea deal in Boone County court.

Hollingshead was accused of stealing a sign from a bar in August.

Hollingshead issued a statement apologizing for his actions, “I would like to apologize to the people of Boone County for my actions on the morning of August 31st.

“It is a personal mistake that I made and one I have to live with. I have owned up to my actions of that night, and I will continue to be a voice for the people of Boone County as one of their representatives on the Boone County Board of Supervisors.”

Hollingshead previously appeared on the Agribusiness report on Channel 13 News.
