People in Des Moines are getting a break from the City when it comes to shoveling their sidewalks.

The sidewalk shoveling deadline has been extended until 7 a.m. Sunday.

City officials usually begin ticketing property owners 48-hours after the snow stops.

The extension is due to the windy conditions blowing snow around.
