Authorities say a western Iowa business owner was shot by one of his employees Sunday night.

Police say 32-year-old Darren Hieber walked in on a burglary in progress at his shop in Onawa.

Authorities responded and found Hieber with a gunshot wound to his leg.  They say Hieber’s employee, 23-year-old Brady Chapman fired the shot.

Hieber was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening treatments.

Authorities are not saying what led to the shooting, but so far no one has been arrested
