An Iowa community college is setting up an overnight shelter where students can get relief from the heat.
Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge asked the Red Cross and Webster County Emergency Management for help Tuesday morning.
The college was concerned for the welfare of about 150 students staying in an older dorm building with no air conditioning.
The cooling shelter is set up in classrooms in a campus building. The school sent out an e-mail to students notifying them of their options in this heat wave.
