SCHOOL BOND: Johnston Early Voting Opens

Voters can cast their ballot early in a special election bond referendum, Friday.

$41-million in general obligation bonds to fund for construction projects in the Johnston Community School District is at issue.

The money would be used to build a new high school and renovate three existing buildings for new purposes.

Residents can vote early at Horizon Elementary School from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

Votes can be cast next Friday at the Johnston Public Library. Voters can also request an absentee ballot.

The special election is Tuesday, June 25th.
