The controversy over the hiring of former Des Moines Superintendent Nancy Sebring has taken its toll on the Omaha School Board.

President Freddie Gray resigned from her position after taking heat from the Sebring controversy for the last year.

Some board members wanted to strip Gray of her leadership role because they believed with the help of the District Attorney, Gray had withheld information connected to the hiring of Sebring.

Omaha never even got to work with Sebring, she resigned shortly after taking the job when the Des Moines School Board learned she was using her public email account to send sexually explicit messages.
