SAYING GOODBYE: Iowa Soldiers Leave Tuesday

The families of 60 Iowa soldiers are preparing to say good-bye to their loved ones for an entire year.

A send-off ceremony will take place Tuesday for members of the Iowa National Guard’s, 10-34th combat sustainment support battalion.

The ceremony will be held at Camp Dodge in Johnston at 11:30.

The soldiers will first head to Texas for additional training before leaving for Afghanistan.
