Tuesday, a Waterloo man accused in a deadly hit and run crash in Altoona will be sentenced in Polk County.

Dajour Sawyers entered an Alford plea to vehicular homicide in December.

That means Saywers isn’t admitting guilt, but acknowledges there’s enough evidence to convict him.

Authorities say Sawyers ran a red light in a stolen car last April, crashing into another car and killing that driver.

He faces up to 35 years in prison.
