DES MOINES, Iowa — Des Moines police are investigating a shooting after a woman says two men came to her home Monday afternoon and told her to get her kids inside right before they started shooting up the street.

According to a police report obtained by the Des Moines Register, the woman called 911 about 3:30 p.m. to report the shooting in the 3100 block of Third Street.

She told police she saw two tall men were walking up Boston Avenue before they approached her home and told her to “get her kids inside.” The police report says the men then started firing shots up Third Street. According to the Register, a neighbor said he saw a man fire a gun in front of a home on the same block.

Police located two shell casings in front of a home in the area, and multiple casings were found in an alley between the 200 block of Boston Avenue and Third Street, the police report says.

No arrests have been made, but police have obtained video of two cars that may be connected to the alleged shooting.

No injuries were reported.
