Two eastern Iowa girls have raised more than $600 for efforts supporting abducted and murdered cousins Elizabeth Collins and Lyric Cook.
Ten-year-old Taylor Stefancik and 11-year-old Breann Minikus of Waterloo began making their bracelets in December. That’s when the bodies of the missing cousins were found in a wildlife area in Bremer County.
Cook and Collins had been missing since last July, when they were last seen near Meyers Lake in Evansdale.
The money from the bracelet sales has gone to the reward fund in the case and to help pay for Angels Park. That’s the project being put together in memory of the two girls.
