A man involved in a high-speed chase with Fort Dodge Police in October has been sentenced to five years in prison.
The Fort Dodge Messenger is reporting that 28-year-old Pierre Rochon entered a guilty plea in the case Friday and was also sentenced. Rochon admitted had been drinking when he took a Fort Dodge woman’s car and led police on a chase.
A Fort Dodge police officer fired at Rochon after he rammed the stolen car into a police cruiser. Rochon was not injured in the shooting.
Damages totaling more than $8,100 were also awarded to the woman Rochon stole the car from.
