Memorial Day weekend is traditionally when many public pools open to give people a place to cool down over the hot summer months.
The city of West Des Moines wants to make sure everyone who wants a pool pass gets one. The city is keeping the Parks and Recreation office open late, until 7:00 Tuesday night for people to get their 2012 aquatic center season passes.
It is also a chance for anyone who has already purchased their pass to get their pass pictures taken.
The cost varies, depending on where you live, but for a family of four living in West Des Moines a summer pass will set you back $180.
It includes admission to both West Des Moines aquatic centers as well as the Clive Aquatic Center.
