HAMDEN, Connecticut — The latest Quinnipiac University Poll shows Hillary Clinton holds an overwhelming lead over other possible Democratic presidential candidates with likely Iowa Democratic Caucus participants.

The poll, which was released Thursday morning, has Clinton with 61-percent of the vote. That’s 42-percent ahead of Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, who received 19-percent of the vote.

In third place is Vice President Joe Biden with 9-percent. No other candidates received more than 5-percent support.

Seventy-three-percent of the Democrats polled said it made no difference in their choice that Clinton would become the first female president, but 5-percent did say they are less likely to vote for Clinton because her husband previously served as president.
