DES MOINES, Iowa — A possible presidential candidate who wants to put National Guard soldiers on the border will be back in Iowa this week.

Texas governor Rick Perry will be the keynote speaker at the North Iowa Conservative Event dinner on Saturday. It starts at 4:00 p.m. at Algona High School.

Fellow Republican New Jersey governor Chris Christie will be in Des Moines for a breakfast Thursday. He’ll be in town to raise money for the Republican Governors Association.
