Congressman Steve King is touring Iowa and meeting voters.

Wednesday morning he was in Jefferson talking to about 30 people.

King says he is still enthusiastic about his job in Washington, D.C. and is dedicated to continuing that job if voters sent him back to Washington. He is running against former first lady of Iowa Christie Vilsack in the Fourth Congressional District.

King told supporters his main goal is repealing President Obama’s healthcare law.

King will open his Ames headquarters at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at 711 East Lincoln Way.

The event is open to the public.
