Democratic Presidential Debate Slated for Des Moines

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Democratic National Committee has announced its plans to hold six primary debates between presidential candidates and Des Moines has made the cut.

Des Moines’ Drake University will be the site of a debate on November 14th. It will be held in Sheslow Auditorium and is being broadcast by CBS/KCCI in connection with the Des Moines Register.

“The Iowa Democratic Party is honored to be co-hosting a Democratic presidential debate on November 14. With our First-in-the-Nation Iowa caucuses just months away, the debate will be a great opportunity for Iowans to hear directly from our Democratic presidential candidates about pressing issues facing our country,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chairman Dr. Andy McGuire.

The five other debates are:

Oct 13—Nevada

December 19–Manchester, NH

January 17–Charleston, SC

February or March–Miami, FL

February or March–Wisconsin

The Iowa Caucuses are scheduled for February 1st.
