DES MOINES, Iowa — Prior to the Iowa caucuses on Monday night, Sanders was rallying support at Grand View University.

The Democratic presidential candidate spoke for about an hour Sunday night and the young crowd was very energetic.

About 1,700 hundred people packed the gym as Sanders’ wife Jane and his two daughters also joined him at the event. Sanders revisited his key campaigning issues, like fixing a rigged economy, income inequality and climate change.

Sanders is known for having radical ideas, but he believes that will pay off on Monday night. He even referenced the uniqueness and success of President Obama during the 2008 caucus cycle.

Jodi Whitworth reported live during the Channel 13 News at 10 from the Sanders rally.
