DES MOINES, Iowa — Police say a suspect wanted in a Des Moines liquor store robbery has turned himself in after seeing himself on the news.

Twenty-year-old Matthias Larson is charged with first degree robbery for allegedly holding up the HyVee Wine and Spirits at 3424 ML King Parkway on June 2nd.

Larson entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. He got away on foot with an unknown amount of cash.

Police released images of the suspect Thursday afternoon with a plea to the public to help them identify him.

Larson is being held in the Polk County Jail on a bond of $25,000.
