DES MOINES, Iowa – Parents of a missing Pennsylvania woman fear their daughter could be in Iowa, heading west on Interstate 80.

Bill and Nancy Bachman stopped in Des Moines Saturday while on a cross country quest to find their 37 – year – old daughter, Susan, who went missing in July.

Nancy Bachman says last month her daughter was on her to way to a psychiatric hospital in Pennsylvania, but instead jumped from the moving car, ran into the woods and hasn’t been found. For years Susan has suffered from depression and as of recently, paranoia. The mother says someone spotted her daughter at an I – 80 truck stop in Indiana but did not notify police.

Interstate 80 runs all the way to California. Her parents believe that’s where she is heading to visit a friend. They plan to stop at every truck stop and rest area along the way, posting flyers hoping to find her.

“Our goal is to bring awareness to all the people we can along Interstate – 80 in case she stops somewhere and stays there,” says Nancy Bachman.
