OSCEOLA, Iowa — An unemployed southern Iowa man can stop his job search after he won a Publishers Clearing House lifetime prize.

The prize patrol was in Osceola on Friday to award its youngest-ever big prize winner.

Ryan Hart, 21, won the lifetime prize and will be awarded $5,000 a week for the rest of his life. That’s more than $250,000 a year.

Hart had his mother on the phone with him when he was awarded the prize at his doorstep.

“This can’t be true,” Hart said he was thinking when he saw the crew come to his door. “I still don’t know what I’m going to do with it.”

Hart said he’s been entering for a year.
